Reincarnation - reality or myth ?

Reincarnation - reality or myth ?

There are lots of arguments, controversies over this ubiquitous topic. People scratch their heads when there is a debate or planned argument with this flummoxing term "reincarnation".

We have both types of people in our lives. One who firmly supports the theory of reincarnation and also the one  who confidently rejects the existence of the theory and often considers it to be nothing but a utopian concept.

Through this blog, I want to draw your attention towards the reality in simple and clear words, which will sweep away all the confusions in our minds responsible for these flummoxes.

what means by the term "reincarnation"?

"Reincarnation" simply means repeated birth of the same existence. which means after death, the person is reappearing with distinct physical looks and noticeable mental and social attributes. But, here comes a different puzzle to be pondered over.

If a person is having distinct features, how could anyone suspect him/her to be someone existed before as well?

Well, in some rare cases, the person remembers the flashes of his previous birth or births. But, this could not be the only instance to declare the repeated birth of a creature.

what does "Bhagwat Geeta" says?

If you are a Hindu and you have read the Bhagwat Geeta or even aware of some verses and purports, you might be knowing the terms "material world" and "spiritual world" . For a quick brief, material world is the world where we live and spiritual world is the abode of God where we have to go in order to get liberation from this material world.

Hence, it makes no difference if we live or die. In both the cases we sustain in the material world only.

Next thesis of Bhagwat Geeta is that we are souls not the bodies. and if it is true that we are souls then the probability of reincarnation escalates. Obviously, if we are the souls and our existence doesn't merge in the soil, then destruction of the body is of no tragedy as we could get a new form again.

What did krishna tell in bhagwad Geeta?

In many of the verses, krishna considers soul to be unborn, eternal and undestroyable. Moreover, soul passes through one body to another and gets next birth with same eternal gunnas ( attributes ).

He also metaphorises souls to be garments. As humans, we change the dresses and put on another with the same body. In the same way, soul is the real identification of a living entity and body is just an outer covering.
According to this, the concept of rebirth is again justified.

Why to trust Geeta's instrutions?

There are many spiritual books available. We can adhere to the instructions of any but, how it would be to trust spirituality principles that inspired outstanding scientists like Albert Einstein, Robert Oppenheimer and many more?
